What is a Learnership?
A learnership is a work based learning programme that leads to an NQF registered qaulification. Learnerships are directly related to an occupation or field of work, for example software testing, systems development or data analytics.
Learnerships are managed by Sector Education and Training Authorities(SETAs). They were introduced by government to help skill learners and to prepare them for the workplace.
Village Tech offers the following accredited learnerships
1. National Certificate: IT: Systems Development SAQA ID : 48872 NQF 5 131 Credits
2. National Certificate: IT: Systems Support SAQA ID 48573 NQF 5 147 Credits
During the learnership learners will be expected to complete assignments, tasks, practical tests & projects. they will be formally assessed in the classroom and workplace.
If all these assignments are completed successfully, they will be awarded an NQF registered qaulification, that is recognised nationally. They will receive a certificate stating the qaulification and the area of skill development.
