Educator ICT Integration in the classroom

There are so many reasons to consider a career in information technology, and you should read our previous blog – Considering an IT Career? – if you’re not yet convinced.

But perhaps the most assuring of all these is how broad the spectrum of job opportunities that exist in Information Technology.

All one needs is to think about how much we all use technology today and then you realise, it is everywhere.

From our Smartphones to gaming devices, smart watches, tablets & iPads, personal computers & laptops,

decoders, TV boxes and even things like dishwashers and washing machines which have small computer programs to operate them, there are so many things we use today that rely on technology, and someone has to create this technology, maintain the technology, teach people how to use the technology and use it oneself.

These all translate to jobs!

If you Google the term Information Technology the definition is as follows:

Information technology (IT) is the use of computers to create, process, store, retrieve, and exchange all kinds of electronic data and information.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is an extensional term for information technology (IT) that stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications (telephone lines and wireless signals) and computers, along with all the devices and software needed to facilitate this.

So, with this in mind, we have compiled a list of some of the careers that exist with this exciting industry.
